Public Utility/Municipal Law

Kay Casto & Chaney represents public service providers, businesses, governmental entities and individuals in matters before the Public Service Commission of West Virginia, governing bodies of municipalities and counties, and before other agencies of the state and the West Virginia Legislature and before state and federal courts. Our attorneys regularly appear before the Public Service Commission on rate, siting and business transactional matters involving telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer, motor carrier and solid waste providers.

Kay Casto & Chaney has a statewide practice in which they advise utilities and local governments on matters involving the provision and regulation of water, sewer, stormwater, and solid waste by local government and franchising related matters involving the cable television industry and the siting of wireless telecommunications facilities.

In addition to representation involving regulatory matters, Kay Casto & Chaney attorneys also act as advisors to and representatives of municipalities on general municipal law matters.
