Thomas H. Ewing is a Member of Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC and practices in the Firm’s Fayetteville office. With more than two decades of legal experience, including recent service as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and as Judge of the Circuit Court of Fayette County (Fifteenth Judicial Circuit), Ewing brings a rare combination of judicial insight and strategic, practical advocacy to his clients.

His practice encompasses commercial and business transactions; real estate; litigation; mediation; wills, trusts and estates; domestic law (adoptions and guardianships), and appellate advocacy. Throughout his career, he has represented businesses, financial institutions, property owners, and individuals in complex litigation and transactional matters, while also serving as a trusted mediator and counselor.

Prior to his judicial service, Ewing spent more than fourteen years in private practice with Kay Casto & Chaney, developing a statewide reputation in commercial litigation, real estate law, banking and financial services, estate planning, creditor rights, consumer protection, and business transactions. His experience on both the trial and appellate benches provides clients with valuable perspective on litigation strategy, dispute resolution, and appeals.
