Kay Casto & Chaney Welcomes New Attorney

Charleston, W.Va. (January 26, 2015) – Kay Casto & Chaney is pleased to announce that Samuel D. Marsh joined the firm’s Charleston office. Marsh represents businesses and individuals in white-collar criminal defense cases and civil litigation matters.

Marsh served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of West Virginia, and as a Detailed Assistant United States Attorney in New Orleans, LA. Marsh has also worked as a trial attorney in the Domestic Security Section in the Justice Department’s Criminal Division in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Marsh worked in the General Counsel’s Office at the Executive Office for United States Attorney.

In addition, Marsh was employed by the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney; work that entailed representing the state in numerous jury trials and bench trials, all while teaching legal courses at the West Virginia State Police Academy.

Marsh is a graduate of West Virginia University (B.A., 1989), and Capital University Law School (J.D., 1994). He has received numerous honors for work performed in and outstanding contributions to the areas of criminal law and law enforcement.
