Natalie Bowman is an attorney in the Charleston office of Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC. Her practice focuses on litigation and criminal defense, with experience representing clients in Magistrate Court and other state-court proceedings.

Before joining Kay Casto & Chaney, Ms. Bowman served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Kanawha County Public Defender, where she maintained a substantial caseload and represented clients in bond hearings, motions hearings, bench trials, and other court proceedings. She closed approximately 700 cases through dismissals, pre-trial diversions, and plea agreements and participated on multiple jury trial teams.

Ms. Bowman also gained experience in family law while serving as a student attorney in the Family Law Clinic at West Virginia University College of Law. Her clinic experience included representing clients in divorce proceedings, negotiating child custody agreements, serving as a guardian ad litem for minor children, drafting land-transfer contracts, and representing victims in domestic violence protection order hearings.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Bowman worked as a paralegal with the Kanawha County Public Defender, where she prepared motions, orders, and jury instructions and conducted juror research for criminal trials.

Ms. Bowman earned her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 2024 and her B.S. in Journalism from West Virginia University in 2021. Her journalism background includes reporting for WVU News, an Emmy Award-winning newscast, providing her with a strong foundation in research, writing, interviewing, and communication.
