Stephen G. Higgins

Stephen G. Higgins is the Municipal Judge for the City of Morgantown and a Fiduciary Commissioner for the Monongalia County Commission. Currently, he is president of the Monongalia County Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association and the West Virginia State Bar.

Mr. Higgins has been a guest lecturer on West Virginia Workers' Compensation Law for West Virginia University, College of Business. His practice areas include general litigation, real estate, workers' compensation, and probate. Mr. Higgins received an associate's degree from the State University of New York at Farmingdale and obtained a bachelor's degree in social science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. In 1993, Higgins received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board.

Previously, he served as president and member of the board of directors for the Monongalia County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc. (known as Stepping Stones), Little League baseball and basketball coach, Cub Scout leader, and as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher.
